Every day tides everywhere slowly come in and then later on goes back out revealing a wonderful scene that most people rarely see and even when they do never get to see what’s truly there. This shot was taken in Yankeetown, Fl on an overcast afternoon. Little crabs and other frustrations were furiously dancing around trying not to get eaten by birds or other animals. It is a sight to see and as often as I visit this place I only get to witness it on occasion.

The sand is still wet and almost quicksand like so you must choose your steps carefully but one can walk about in some areas and see all the life that lives just a few feet under the water. This day the sand was particularly soft and because I was trying a very slow shutter approach I found myself not reaching my original goal of a two minute exposure and instead opted for a modest 15 second shutter.
