Can you believe this is Florida? I took this picture the other day when the weather was a little stormy and threatening to rain. During a storm or rain and shortly there after is one of my favorite times to shoot by the way.
The clouds in this image remind me of out west in the mountains and not here in plain old Florida farmlands.
Sometimes when you take a picture you have some idea of what the scene is about but when you start to edit the image starts to take a different path than what you originally saw. It almost feels like the image is evolving into something on its own without your concept nor input. Sure, I edit all my images, I have to. Almost every image needs editing whether it is dust removal or dodging and burning or a just a little alignment, we all have to edit. The trick is to edit just enough and not too much so the image looks sort of realistic and not overly done.
